Day One: Wellington to Nelson
To visit Nelson region is to discover azure skies and wide open spaces, beaches
and lakes, spectacular national parks and unique landforms, vineyards and gourmet
cafes, artists and galleries, entrepreneurs and boutique shopping experiences... a
uniquely Nelson way of life.
Nelson region combines the finest elements of the New Zealand experience and
delivers them across stunning geography, sun-ripened at the perfect latitude under
New Zealand’s highest sunshine hours.

WOW® Museum
You’ve seen the WOW® show, now view the historic garment collection in a gallery
infused with the theatrical atmosphere of music, lighting and movement. Mannequins twirl to inspired musical arrangements under lighting designed specifically to accentuate the beauty of these wonderful creations. You gain the impression that designers of WearableArt™ garments stitch a little piece of their soul into each masterpiece. Enjoy and marvel at the detail and craftsmanship these designers invest into their garments.

Day Two: Nelson

Choose from the activities listed below, or simply just enjoy Nelson's beaches and walkways.

Private Art, Craft and Wine Tour (optional)
Delight all your senses as you experience the best of Nelson's arts community.
You will find unmatched diversity in both creativity and scenery. Be inspired by a
region where people have gathered the raw materials to make beautiful creations
for centuries. The vibrant Nelson region, with a population of 87,000, is home to
literally hundreds of artists and craftspeople. Enjoy lunch at Waimea Estate
Departure: 11.00am returning 4.30pm
Cost: $85.00 per person includes gourmet platter and all wine tasting (lunch own cost)

Kayak and Walk the Abel Tasman National Park (optional)
Experience the park by both kayak and foot. Spend the day exploring the southernmost region of the park, the Astrolabe Roadstead. See an array of bird life; identify native tea tree, black beech, punga and fern; take in the view from numerous scenic outlooks along the way. New Zealand bush and birdlife are plentiful, cascading streams and waterfalls cool and clear; beaches and inlets a photographers delight.

Mountain Biking (optional)
Biking Nelson offer relaxed tours that leave people with ever lasting memories of rugged landscapes, beautiful mountain scenery and pristine rivers that flow from your feet into a landscape that disappears over the horizon. The guides will create rides to meet the requirements of riders who want to feel the thrill of the ride and enjoy the challenge of technically advanced tracks. These tracks snake through the hills and mountains and offer the experienced riders the opportunity to push themselves physically and blast away the cob webs that modern life seems to create. All ages, skills and abilities are catered for by Biking Nelson Limited.

Pamper yourself at Enriching Wellness Day Spa (optional)
Spa pool, back massage and facial. Relax in the spa, release tension with a back and shoulder massage, feel the stress of the day soothed away with a rejuvenating facial.

Day Three: Nelson Full Day - Return to Wellington

Explore Fashion & Textiles (optional)
Experience a personal fashion workshop tour and shopping experience with a
nationally known Nelson Fashion designer. Tuition in hand painting silk. Personal
decoration of a silk that is to be pressed finished and forwarded to each participant.
This experience will be divided into two sections.
Part one - Tour of Nelsons Fashion designer / manufacturer’s workshop
and textile studio. This will be followed with a talk by Jill Alexander on her personal
evolve from theme to concept and then on to actual garments and screen printed
textile designs.
Part two - Demonstration and participation in the techniques of hand painted silk
using dyes by Suzanne Williamson. She will turn participants as they explore this
skill as they creatively apply this to their own unique silk neck scarf.
After the workshop each scarf will be fixed through a steaming process, pressed
and packaged with a personal certificate.
Time: 9.00am - 1.00pm (minimum numbers apply)
Cost: $105.00 per person and includes dyes, material, postage and refreshments.
